Flag Retreat Ceremony at Husainiwala Border

To witness a flag retreat ceremony is really a great experience in itself. This ceremony is performed at Wagah border as well as Husainiwala border in punjab.


Husainiwala is a village in  the Firozepur district of punjab. This village is on the banks of the Sutej River.On one side is indian village Husainiwala on the opposite is Gand Singh Wala.

People from all across the country come to visit the Flag Retreat Ceremony at Husainiwala Border whihch is performed everyday at 6 pm.


In this ceremony at one side Indian army and other side Pakistan army show their talent according to the army norms.Indian army is well dressed in khaki and when they show their power they seem to be the real heroes. All the crowd on indian side in the stadium is full of cheers for the brave soldeiers.



The Flags of both the countries are hoisted on the daytime and in evening Flag Retreat Ceremony is performed . People from both the sides come to see this ceremony. Everyone is full of praise for the soldiers energy and will power.



People also visit the National Martyr Memorial  at this place . It is just one Km from the Zero line .This is the place where our freedom heroes Shaheed Bhagat Singh Ji, Rajguru and Sukhdev Ji were cremated on 23 march in 1931.
